We are a blog and information center dedicated to the eradication of ignorance against dog breeds at risk of being banned worldwide. No breed should be treated as criminals because of the behavior of a few poorly treated and/or trained individual dogs. A dogs behavior is directly related to its training and we believe that the responsibility is on the owner who trained the dog to fight or mistreated the dog so horribly. These amazing dogs are important parts of families around the world and no one should expect anyone to hand over beloved pets any sooner than our own children.
Our site mascot is a rescued pitbull mix named Chena. Saved her from almost certain doom 9 years ago, she has been a most solid and consistently dependable friend. She is unendingly loving, perfectly behaved and at peace with other animals. She loves children, has an extreme (understanding of) vocabulary and we cant imagine our life without her. Sadly, she was diagnosed with diabetes about 2 years ago but has been going strong regardless. I hope to open minds and hearts to animals like Chena, faithful, loving and intelligent. Hi! I’m a spanish girl, a responsable owner of a “dangerous dog” like law called some breeds in my country… I’ve got a precious and lovely dobermann, we have 3 dogs more too and a cat, and its fantastic be able to live between all them, they haven’t got any problem of coexistence, everyone of my dogs have a character totally different than other, but all of them are good socialized and can stay with anybody and everywhere. Of course, I never let my dogs alone with stranges , for security, and of course, never never alone with children, because a dog can be well educated or socialized,can be most lovely and funny dog in the world, but a child is unpredictable and any dog can missunderstand the things, we can’t know how much a child be able to annoy it, and the dogs use to act like their instints order them, and of course, they musnt’t to understand or support anything from anyone… in my opinion, its perfectly compressible when a dog after a time supporting somethings, at the end he warns with growl, bark and even a bite, probably the offense has arrived to far and no adult intervened to stopted it until the dog must to do it for himself. But this rule or cuestion so easier to understand for a few of us, it´s, at the end, the biggest problem in a lot of tv-stories about “killer dogs” or “unexpected attack from a crazy dog to a baby”… it can seems that anyone who has a dog must to understand what I say before or that all dogs owners are able to educate their dogs and really do it. And the consecuence its the reallity that we must to live today.
I did a blog some time ago, where use to talk about “dangerous breeds”, information about all this breeds, standards, clubs, breed histories, legislation, videos, proffesionals who works with them, etc… All that we find, know, what people sends to us…
Writting and reading every day things for my blog I knowed last year whats BSL and affect to me very much to know that… since then I’m trying to explain all that I can about BSL to readers of my blog and to people who loves this kind of dogs, but people here normally don’t know what is this law and when I explained to them they usually read the story and someone use to say something like: I didnt kwow it… it’s injust… etc, but nothing more, nobody wants to really make something interesting and really important to affect the goverments. It’s crazy but truth to think the reallity of thi: the goverments who impose BSL in their areas do it without any problem, because isn’t a famous law in every country, isn’t a problem for the reast of the world.
I think if all the world be able to know what’s happening with this law… probably they start to think about change the law seriously. I think the problem is one: people don’t know anything or many few of your story.
And being realistic and honest… our laws in spain, or other countries are hard, stupid or are an injustice, but isn’t the same than BSL, BSL kills, ban and is racist, is harder and more cruel than our laws… you need help from everybody to stop this madness…
Finally I only want to say to anyone who needs or accepts help in this cuestion from any country and person, that I’m here to try it, to bring your complaints and supplies about BSL to my country, to try so abolish this horrible law that bans your dogs, dogs like any other and dogs wich must to be like the others at the eyes of everybody.

Thank you for being supportive and Im glad to hear you know so much about the problem. So many people just dont understand what the law means to some people. I travel allot with my dog and because of bans around the world I cannot go to many places I’d love to take her. I’ll read your blog and add a link as well! Thanks!!!

Saddly enough, when you need a HOUSE to be, you openly DENY your dog is a pitbull. Chena is a marvellous dog… but your attitude is a shame. Some of us do our part to help, don’t we, anyways? Like helpng get her medicine. Salut!
Well, for one, she is a pitbull terrier mix, When I move into a place I tell people she is a terrier mix (which is true, american pitbull terrier and stafforshire terrier are both called pitbulls). I tell them her weight and her age and because of her perfect disposition really there is nothing else I should ever have to tell people. Any information a person wants about her breed is species discrimination and no different than discriminating against a renter because of their race. There is no reason we should have different rights than anyone else, she deserves what every other dog has and can have. My attitude is one that is aggressive and self reliant because it has to be for me and Chena to manage how we do, there are times when you and yours are much more important than tiptoeing around peoples ignorance and media driven fears. If you dont understand that then I cant help you. We have as many rights and deserve all the same opportunities as anyone else and if I have to prove that to people I will and do. Also, you personally have never helped my dog get medicine. The only person in south america who has is my friend Frankie and if you are who i think you are you need to get over the fact that we didn’t work out as roommates, well, because you’re crazy and sadly, scared of my perfectly harmless and loving dog. chau
